Scam Alert

We are aware of a growing number of recruitment scams targeting jobseekers, particularly on Facebook and messaging platforms such as WhatsApp.

These scams often involve individuals impersonating WFH Australia consultants and offering fake job opportunities.

WFH Australia does not advertise or offer jobs via Facebook groups, private messages, or WhatsApp.

WFH Australia only posts job ads on the following channels:

 

If you see a job ad claiming to be from WFH Australia in Facebook groups or private messages, it is likely a scam.

Stay Safe:

  • Check the Source: All genuine WFH Australia communication will only come from our official domain: @wfhaustralia.com.

  • Ignore and Report Suspicious Messages: Our team will never contact you out on Facebook Messenger or WhatsApp about job opportunities.

  • Do Not Send Money or Personal Details: Legally operating employment agents will never ask for payment from candidates or request any sensitive personal information to secure a job.

Be alert to the following red flags:

  • Unsolicited Job Offers from people you don’t know or platforms we don’t use.

  • Impersonated profiles posing as WFH Australia consultants, often with incomplete or suspicious details.

  • Requests for any fees, personal documents, or bank details.

  • Offers promising easy income or guaranteed jobs.

  • Processes that skip interviews or proper screening.

  • Poorly written communication using incorrect emails, inconsistent branding, or unprofessional language.

  • Attempts to sell you any merchandise, electronics, or software.

If you suspect a scam or have received a suspicious message:

  1. Do not respond or share any information.

  2. Report the scam to Scamwatch(managed by the ACCC) or the Australian Cyber Security Centre.

  3. Let us know via the reporting form on our website so we can investigate and warn others.
